  1. CO1: UNIT-I: Students will be able to 1. Explain the concepts of advanced mobile phone service, GSM, digital cellular system, and cordless telephony. 2. Compare first, second, and third-generation wireless communication systems. 3. Analyze the evolution of wireless technologies and their applications in modern telecommunication.
  2. CO2: UNIT-II 4. Illustrate cell structure, handoff mechanisms, and roaming management in cellular networks. 5. Apply channel assignment techniques and evaluate interference issues such as ACI and CCI. 6. Demonstrate understanding of intersystem handoff, authentication, and network signaling. 7. Describe the working of cellular digital packet data (CDPD).
  3. CO3: UNIT-III 8. Explain GSM architecture and its signalling mechanisms. 9. Analyze mobility management and short message service (SMS) in GSM. 10.Discuss international roaming, administration, and operational aspects of GSM networks.
  4. CO4: UNIT-IV 11. Describe the architecture and components of Wireless Application Protocol (WAP). 12. Explain WAP layers such as datagram, transport security, transaction, and session protocols. 13. Apply wireless markup language (WML) and scripting for mobile applications. 14.   3. CO3: UNIT – III 9. Illustrate framing techniques used at the data link layer. 10. Apply error detection and correction methods, including CRC. 11. Explain flow control protocols such as Stop-and-Wait, Go-Back-N, and Sliding Window. 12. Analyze the efficiency of selective repeat protocol.
  4. CO4: 13. Explain routing algorithms and congestion control techniques in the network layer. 14. Differentiate between repeaters, bridges, routers, and gateways. 15.
